Ashley Ko
Nurse Practitioner
Ashley Ko, NP, is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner specializing in adult and geriatric primary care, with extensive experience across sub-acute rehabilitation, long-term care, and mental health settings. She brings a comprehensive, patient-centered approach to care, with a strong focus on managing complex chronic conditions and improving overall quality of life. As co-owner and provider at Smithers & Ko Health Services, Ashley combines her background in primary care, geriatrics, and behavioral health to deliver thoughtful, individualized treatment. Her clinical experience also includes inpatient psychiatric care, chronic pain management, and clinical education for nurse practitioner students. Ashley is currently expanding her practice to include advanced and integrative therapies. She provides regenerative medicine treatments utilizing stem cells, exosomes, and hormone-based therapies aimed at supporting healing, optimizing function, and promoting longevity. In addition, she offers advanced mental health treatment with Spravato (esketamine) for patients with treatment-resistant depression, delivering innovative care options for those who have not responded to traditional therapies. She has also completed executive education through Harvard Medical School in Health and Wellness, with focused training in designing sustainable nutritional plans to support long-term health and disease prevention. Her approach emphasizes whole-person care— addressing physical health, mental well-being, and functional independence—while incorporating both evidence-based medicine and emerging therapeutic modalities. Ashley earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the MGH Institute of Health Professions and holds a Master’s degree in Gerontology from the University of Southern California. She is board certified in Adult Gerontology Primary Care and remains actively engaged in advancing patient care through innovation and education.
